PolicyBusters!
Since policymaking in a democracy should be controlled by citizens--not corporations--POLICYBUSTERS is dedicated to developing a democratic framework of engaged policymaking that breaks down the walls between citizens and their ability to determine the policies that govern them. Citizen control over the policymaking process is the heart of democratic self-government. Let's work together to reforge public policies that will allow us to live up to our democratic ideals.

I fear our current national policies are helping to push the world into a twenty-first century abyss of constant war, disease, and unstoppable environmental devastation due to global climate change--but I hope we may still organize the political will and democratic power to transform our policies to keep ourselves and the rest of the world from marching headlong into the abyss. This transformation begins with US: "Organize, organize, organize!"
III. The relationship between changing our circumstances and changing ourselves for the better can be understood as nonviolent revolutionary practice.
IX. The highest point reached by capitalism and the economic materialism on which it is based--that is, materialism which does not comprehend human life as practical creative activity--is contemplation of isolated individuals and of civil society.
X. The standpoint of this environmentally-destructive capitalism and materialism is civil society and isolated individuals; the standpoint of a creative nonviolent materialism is human beings in community, or social humanity.
XI. The theorists have only interpreted the world, in various ways; the point is to change it for the better.
